INternational ethics
Alpha Timeline
This timeline denotes the foundation of one of the biggest theories in International Relations. The concept of international ethics began when globalisation started through the expedition of Christopher Columbus and his voyage to the New World. Throughout the timeline, international ethics is indirectly created through notable individuals as part of how states act with each other in the international arena. But the biggest factor in the solidification of international ethics and how states would be interacting with each other either due to ethical obligations or of self-interest would be the start and end of World War 2. |
Beta Timeline
After World War II, international ethics began to define how states would react to the spread of Communism brought by the Soviet Union. As the world was divided by the Communist East and the Capitalist West, states began to either ethically obligated to assist in accepting or resisting the Communist ideology and most of the resistant movements was initiated by the United States of America. From then on, international ethics would either be the ethical obligation to help as it is the ideal form (Neoliberalism) or be ignored as it is highly unpractical (Neorealism). |
